Call for Proposals

New calls for proposals on environment, including water and climate change

New calls for proposals were published early September under the Seventh Framework Programme for Scientific Research and Technological Development (FP7) in many areas of applied research, including environment, especially water and climate change. The new calls bring wide opportunities for partners from all over the world to participate. For example, under the Environment thematic priority with indicative budget € 193.5 mn, a number of topics of mutual interest for EU & Egypt are introduced. The following topics are some examples that would be of interest in particular for Egyptian & other Mediterranean partner countries of the region:

  • ENV.2009.1.1.5.2 Climate induced changes in water resources in southern Europe and neighbouring countries as a threat to security. North Africa, Mediterranean, Middle East. (SICA)
  • ENV.2009.2.2.1.4 Integrated Coastal Zone Management. Mediterranean, Black Sea Basin. (SICA)
  • ENV.2009.3.2.1.1 Technologies for protecting cultural heritage assets from risks and damages resulting from earthquakes (Mediterranean countries + ICPC encouraged)

Partners (researchers, universities, research centers or any other academic entity, NGOs, CSOs, SMEs) are eligible for participation. The Programme is open to civil society organizations & the private sector that would set up partnerships with researchers and other stakeholders. For more information, please visit:
